Although I didn't join the fight against Ohio E-check until 1998, along with other dedicated, patriotic Ohioans we have made great strides toward winning the war against E-check and the career politicians who forced it on us in 1994, including Governor Bob Taft and former Governor George Voinovich. We still have work to do to end E-check, but it will end in at least seven Ohio counties in December 2005. At a minimum, the attached video clip of Bob Taft in the 1998 gubernatorial debates proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that we cannot trust Mr. Taft or other top Republican leaders in Ohio like Senators Voinovich and DeWine. They all sat on their hands for almost a decade and allowed the Ohio and US Environmental Protection Agencies to use and abuse Ohio Citizens with an emissions testing program that actually worsens the environment.
